lam-runtime software package provides LAM runtime environment for executing parallel programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lam-runtime
lam-runtime is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lam-runtime package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lam-runtime *
You will get with lam-runtime package name, version, architecture and description in a table
